Blind-Pride

Some say that ignorance is bliss - but it is not.

To live in ignorance, is to live a life without depth.

Growing up in the United States they teach us to be proud to live in America.

By the age of 5 our schools had us pledging to the flag.

And as we grew older they told us to support the militaty

No matter what, without question.

They tell us to be proud,

To respect our troops because they are representing us.

But as long as someone is killing, destroying, and making people suffer in the name of America,

the place I live, I will only feel shame.

The T.V echoes that the war is just, noble, for our safety, and is for the best of intentions.

That the Americans are going to liberate the people, and bring freedom to a far-away land that knows no democracy.

In the name of liberation they have bombed cities, destroyed homes, broken up families, wounded and killed men, woman, and children.

Like the 4 year old girl who died after a cluster bomb exploded in her neighborhood,

or the father and kids who were shot inside a "terrorist" van.

In the name of freedom, people are living in total fear and complete insecurity - wondering when the next bomb will drop, and who will be the next to go.

The T.V shows no sign of destruction.

We don't hear their cries, or see their wounds, or see the damage that has been done.

To mainstream news, the U.S is always justified.

They want us to see the world through a red, white, and blue scope which is narrow and distorted.

They want us to keep our views within the border of nationality - and to believe that an American life, is somehow more important and precious than any other.

They want us to only see the one sided story that the T.V projects, through our living room.

But once you know the truth there is no going back to blind-pride.

We must open our eyes and see the atrocities that are happening by people, claiming to represent us.

Looking down on Earth from the cosmos there are no divisions - it is one solid connected planet.

This is why we must tear down the superficial boundaries which separate us, and expand our compassion to all of humanity.

Words of the Wind

A story to be told is floating in the winds that shake the trees,
and the rain which renews and replenishes the earth.
The secret is in the wind, whispering the eternal truth of life.
If one were to sit still - with a quiet mind - and listen to the trees,
the secret shall enfold, as the flower perfumes sweet truths to the one who cares to know.
In all life there is love, as it is love that brings life.

In Awe of Life

How extraordinary it is that we are alive on earth; temporarily we live, like the many creatures before us.
It's funny to think that it is just the same as all of the generations before, yet every moment is brand new, completely unique.
Us humans were meant to live for so much more, but we've been caught in the pattern of the generations before us.
It's funny how I am ( and many others are) caught between feeling so ashamed of humans behavior, and yet so overwhelmingly joyous to be alive on such an incredible planet.
I am so completely over-the-moon in love with life. Which is why I feel so compelled to change this monstrous society.
If there is a will there is a way, they say, and trust me there is a will.
The vision is there.

Thank you sun, Thank you earth, Thank you moon, and Thank you Universe in all of your complex entirety for the order which has created this phenomenon called life.

A Wound to Humanity

This isn't a video game, this is real life.

Unattached, we do not feel their wounds, or hear their cries, or see the damage that has been done.

Unattached and far away - the screen is like a video game, shielding our minds from the reality of the situation.

Somewhere a man in uniform is following orders,

mindlessly, he pushes a button, and the bomb is dropped on a civilian village.

"For the war on terror", he tells himself. Not realizing the terrorist is really himself.

Somewhere a single man is living in a mansion big enough for 50 + 3,

while a single mom is kicked out on the streets because she can't pay the bills.

Day after day the world watches as people suffer under occupation, or in the streets with out a place to rest their head.

"It's not my wound," the man said "It's a wound to humanity".

Sea of Eternity

The universe is an ocean

Waves of energy,

flowing,

shifting,

forever changing,

ripples and waves of intricate patterns,

bouncing off another pattern,

creating something new

in the sea of eternity

Secret Places

There is no one I will take to my secret places,
but myself, and my song.

The place where I love to love to be alone.
A place to blossom and grow with the trees and leaves, in silence.
A place where I know I will never fall in love with anything, but life itself.

Love is in the air

Love is all around.
I can feel it in the cool crisp air,
and the sun rays that that touch my skin so gently.
The sun illuminates the vibrant green trees,
and the birds chirp love.
And I am here,
to absorb,
to observe,
and to love.

NOT Proud to be American

I am NOT proud to be American. Why, you may ask.
Because all over the world people are killing in my name, dying in my name, suffering in my name.
They wear the uniforms, and the flags to prove,
and I just want to cry in shame, shout in shame:
No more killing!
We ALL just want to live.

This is why I'm not proud to live where I do. Lucky, yes. Extremely lucky to have the privilege. To be able to feel joyous, secure, and content, because all of my basic needs are met. I am able to draw, paint, sing, dance, walk in the forest, the simple things which make life so grand, that too many people don't have the opportunity to enjoy because they are too occupied living in fear and insecurities.
I'll never feel proud as long as someone is killing, and making people suffer - in the name of America, the place I live.
Going to public high school they teach you to be a patriot. To be proud. "We are the strongest, the best". I say because our military is the best and strongest, that makes it the worst! The most brutal and evil, and I will never be proud of that.

This is why I have no affiliation with nationality. This is why I see past the false divisions and boundaries. I will not play along with societies conditionings! I want to scream at the top of my lungs! But instead I vent in my journal, and my blog. I will then close my journal, or close my computer and continue my day in comfort, not having to think about all of the terrible injustices and destruction going on in the world. In places far away, that I am more connected to than I will ever realize. Or even places that are near.
"We have to fight over there, so we don't have to fight over here" - they say. Bullshit! Unless no one is over here, there is no need to be any where else, because... (this is the most top secret information the government doesn't want you to know!) PEACE IS POSSIBLE! Peace is what exists when there isn't war. And war doesn't need to happen!

Seriously, we are floating in space people! Do you have any idea what you're apart of???
War and hatred are a complete waste of energy, and it doesn't need to happen anymore starting NOW.
Things can change overnight, we simply need to stop doing what is wrong, and start doing what actually matters.

Peace.

From the heart, to humanity.

How can this monstrous society change?

Individuals make up society, so in order for society to change, we must change.
We must find a different way to look at life. To see living for what it really is!
Life isn't suppose to be miserable. Life is suppose to be marvelous, precious, beautiful. Everywhere you look on earth, in nature, it is pure outstanding beauty. All of the creatures and plants - beautiful. Human behavior - repulsive.
We live so illogically. Failing to see the connection to each other, and to the universe.
Why does the human species have to suffer any longer? We are creating our own suffering!
Living so egotistically and shallow.
Always trying to distract ourselves from our own sorrow, through entertainment.
Life does not have to be this way, and we need to change!

Will love change the world? How does one spread the love? A smile, vibrations, words? Is ones very existence able to radiate love and truth without words - simply being?
How do you show love, while at the same time expose people to the reality of our society?
Obviously we can't live in the delusion that everything is all right in the world, when it's not. We must see the way we are living as it is. And at the same time see life for what it is - a wonderful, beautiful, precious trip of consciousness. We are a very unique part of the universe.

Some would say the universe all ready has a plan laid out. My question to that is, if you are aware there needs to be change, don't you have a certain responsibility? I know sitting around waiting for change is just a delusion that too many people have. It's true that you only have control of your own being, you can't make anyone else change. Therefore you must really know yourself before you can spread this love and truth. "Find yourself first, and then your talent" Jimi Hendrix says. So perhaps, know yourself first, so the energy can flow.
I don't want to be caught, putting my energy in the wrong direction. I know the real revolution will not be brought about through any organization, or political change. The real revolution will happen in our minds. The real revolution, is the revolution of the psyche.

Eternity is real. Eternity is the universe, beyond life. And we are a living part of it.

Life is what it is

Every individual has their own idea of what life is.
Some live their lives so shallow, so narrow. As though running in one direction aimlessly.
Quick to go nowhere - the RUSH, and then you die.
We all die.
It is inevitable. This is life, and this is how it is, how it's suppose to be. The mathematically correct outcome.
Life and death are together. One. You can't have one without the other.
So why be afraid of what is life?

We are energy and matter flowing through time. living, breathing, on an astonishing sphere of matter.
We are the product of the universe. We are the universe's consciousness.
We are all of the beauty it contains because we are not separate from it.
Life is what it is.
and we must be alive every moment, without slipping back into the rut of mindless patterns.

A Poem of words

What are words
but noises,
that move
with time
and have emphasis
on breath and
throat vibrations

or strokes
of pen,
and loops of lines
on paper?

The word is not the thing.

Bold as love

He is an angel,
untouchable,
maybe unreal,
as though he were too good to be true,
as though he were just an illusion in my head.

but he is real
and he is bold as love.

Vessels and patterns, is all we are.

What is your body, other than another body on the solid and liquid earth, floating in space?
Time is nothing in comparison to the trillions of years it took to make the universe.
I am nothing but a vessel, in a vessel, in a vessel, in an immeasurable vessel.
And this is life.
My time here is temporary,
but it is real. Very very real.

A wish of a lifetime

I want to live out of dumpsters and feed off of corporate waste.
I want to see capitalism dissolve, and collectivity to flourish.
I want everyone to feel the love of the universe.
I want to be free, sane, and healthy in this sick sick society.
I want to see the people in revolt against what we have let the system do over the past hundreds of years.
I want to be surrounded by serious people - who are joyous too, we can dance, and laugh, and sing.

I want to see the change in my lifetime.
Is it near?

It's all beyond me.

Angels

The true definition of an angel, I have learned, is a human being who lives on earth like it is heaven. Someone who is truly alive, and aware of this extraordinary thing called life. Angels are exceptionally beautiful, innocent, and kind, on the inside and out. I think we should all strive to be angels, because heaven does not happen after you die, heaven is now. If us humans lived life to its greatest potential, earth would be a very wonderful place for all creatures. So what are we waiting for, wake up and live now!

I am NOT American

To be an American... What does that even mean? Other than the fact that you live in the United States, it means absolutely nothing. Many people associate their nationality to be a great part of themselves ("Proud to be an American"). When really nationality is nothing but an illusion of fake boundaries, and divisions. Have you ever looked at a real picture of earth from space? There are no boundaries. ALL humans, in every nationality, are the same, though we may have different customs, traditions, etc, depending on where you grew up. We ALL have the same wants and needs: security, food, shelter, to be loved, etc. Then why is it that humanity is so divided?
For the longest time I have thought flags are the stupidest things. Such great value, honor, and respect is put into these flags when really, it is just a piece of cloth. A piece of cloth that symbolizes division, separatism, and as I see it, ignorance and arrogance.
It's time for us as a people to start making some changes. It's time to see life for what it really is. It's time to put down the flags, and the pledges, and the borders, and be united as one. As Barrack Obama once said: "We are not the United States of America, but the United States of the World!". It's time to let go of your identity as an American, and just be.

Superficial

Superficial. The perfect word to describe humanity. Holding on to material things and grasping so close to an idea, defending an idea, sacrificing for an idea. Why is it that humans are so cowardly? Unwilling to open eye, and see the universe for what it is. There are billions of stars in this galaxy alone, and billions of galaxies in the universe. Life, and the universe is more complex than the human mind can fathom, and yet man thinks he knows what it is all about, where it all came from. Holding on to ancient ideas. Man refuses to let go of the faith they were inherited. Not realizing that the only reason they believe what they do is because that's what they were born into, not aware that the people overseas (or just across the street) believe in their religion just as much as they do theirs. Humans don't want to let go of their ego, which is nothing but a superficial identity. Humanity is so destructive, divisive, selfish, and hateful, you can see this wherever you go. And yet, there is love. Love in the beauty of nature, the waving trees, and the ever changing sky, which leads me to think the universe is nothing but love - one love. If each human being could see and feel the unity and love of the universe, the world would be at peace.

New to this

I've never blogged before, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
I know many people use there blogs for mindless babbling, or there opinion in material things but I don't want to do that. I want to use this blog to write about something much greater. Perhaps something that will actually benefit humanity. As much as I'd like to write now, I am running short on time and must get ready for school. Only 5 more days.
