Superficial

Superficial. The perfect word to describe humanity. Holding on to material things and grasping so close to an idea, defending an idea, sacrificing for an idea. Why is it that humans are so cowardly? Unwilling to open eye, and see the universe for what it is. There are billions of stars in this galaxy alone, and billions of galaxies in the universe. Life, and the universe is more complex than the human mind can fathom, and yet man thinks he knows what it is all about, where it all came from. Holding on to ancient ideas. Man refuses to let go of the faith they were inherited. Not realizing that the only reason they believe what they do is because that's what they were born into, not aware that the people overseas (or just across the street) believe in their religion just as much as they do theirs. Humans don't want to let go of their ego, which is nothing but a superficial identity. Humanity is so destructive, divisive, selfish, and hateful, you can see this wherever you go. And yet, there is love. Love in the beauty of nature, the waving trees, and the ever changing sky, which leads me to think the universe is nothing but love - one love. If each human being could see and feel the unity and love of the universe, the world would be at peace.

New to this

I've never blogged before, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
I know many people use there blogs for mindless babbling, or there opinion in material things but I don't want to do that. I want to use this blog to write about something much greater. Perhaps something that will actually benefit humanity. As much as I'd like to write now, I am running short on time and must get ready for school. Only 5 more days.
